Bitten by the puzzle bug during the pandemic: the dopamine hit and mental exercise from puzzling was a major attraction.

To solve the puzzle of what makes us happy ! Nothing more than sangria in the park and feed[ing] animals in the zoo.

Earth Day is a reminder that we are living creatures all the same. We were born to be wild.

But it turns out dopamine is a motivator not a reward… Dopamine is the itch not the scratch; and that’s why it’s so motivating!

Now that we’ve been stuck indoors for a couple of weeks, our dopamine levels have adjusted to a new normal. As a result, you feel a little more unfocused, frustrated, lethargic and probably a little bit sad.

It’s possible to get an artificial neuron to communicate directly with a biological one using not just electricity, but dopamine—a chemical the brain naturally uses to change how neural circuits behave, most known for signaling reward.
